Introduction to the hydrologic cycle and the chemistry and microbiology of the natural aquatic environment. Emphasis is on the physical, chemical and biological characterization of water and wastewater systems in relation to man's environment. Laboratory work is in the physical, chemical and biological analysis of water and wastewater. Prerequisite: CHEM 1311, CHEM 1111 with a minimum grade of C in each
